I would like to purchase a vibration damper for a July 1984 USA production K100 RS. The OEM site says the following part number 16 12 1 450 712 is good up to the production date of May 1985.
If the coffee basket style filter is available I would purchase that as well.
The one I have as can be seen is dilapidated.
Is there another solution as I am trying to not spend $70 to 90 US  for this particular item in the rehabilitation of a $600 bike?

Thanks
Shep

I had the same problem.
For a new part, the cost from Motorworks was similar. I was fortunate to be able to pick up a 2nd hand one. They do turn up.
Not sure what else you can use.

Unfortunately, that part number does the later models...EME don't supply an OEM-like replacement for the early jobs.

Not sure what you mean?

The screwdriver still works and with a bit of WD40 the pliers will be good as new. What a Face
