So....I went and bought a 1985 K100.  I bought it only for one trip up into Canada this fall.  I usually just drive one of my Airheads (70' R60, 77' R100 or ntm 78' R80) but after trading bikes on a recent ride with my friend Martin (he wanted to try my sidecar rig) I liked the ride of the K and since we are planning a trip I bought this one.  Nice shape and low miles (36k) but it does have that intermittent cut out problem that I heard is common.  Or is it?   I think it in the fuel pump power supply connection, or so I'm told.  Anyway,  I have a K and would like to know more about owning and maintaining it, plus fix that cut out problem.  After I do my trip I will most likely sell it.............

Welcome to the madhouse, Josè.....check the connector under the tank front LHS.
Use a couple of toothpicks to press the female contacts together so the dia gets a
tad smaller for a tighter fit around the male part  :cyclops: .

. . Or a smal precision screwdriver to open out the male pins a small bit. I found it easier to do that.

Welcome to the K forum and hope you enjoy the K!
