Just an update on this one.....

A 4 berth cabin was booked so potentially we can add another traveller.........

Arrive Sunday. Likely run out is from Roscoff via the Blavet/Lac de Guerdelan toward Lorient, St Nazaire, on towards La Rochelle. Camp wherever is convenient and where we feel like.

Monday. Route is weather depending but aim is to get to our base at Limeuil [Edit: or wherever] not too late on Monday.

88KE and myself plan on returning on Wednesday 10th June from Cherbourg [check in 16:30hrs] but have not booked this one yet. [Edit: This would mean leaving Tuesday and taking an overnight somewhere along the way, near to Mont St Michel being an option of we leave early on the Tuesday]. Budget for trip home is about €100 including cabin.

Ks are now being sorted out for the trip, camping gear etc all sorted. I acquired a large tarp, useful if it gets too sunny. A lot of route research done too for possible ride outs but also factoring in some unwind time as in leave bikes parked up and enjoy local scenery and whats on and time to chat/eat etc.

Kool.  Any further indication of who else may be joining the posse?

It looks like its just les trois mousquetaires.......however that might change when weather improves.

But I think we might get a good send off together if we arrange for a meet up for lunch at Crosshaven for the photorally point....Its local to quite a few Eccentrics.

Just been on line sorting some ferry details. Seems check in time is minimum 45 minutes before sailing. As in 3.15pm. Leaves us time to enjoy lunch and top up fuel on the way to the ferry port.

Ferry website [Brittany Ferries] now posting the sailing as full, not unexpected. Plans falling into place nicely, some good places identified for a visit.

For anyone who remembers Bikerboy [Bob and Jude] on the forum we are meeting them on June 1st. Bob acquired a Ducati since we were there last year......but he still has the K. Jude has a rather nice F800ST mit Zorst that seemingly has been farkled a bit so looking forward to some nice sightseeing. Our forum sticker is still up in Bruno's in Rouffignac.

I have some friends who will be in the same area at the same time but unfortunately they will be on an R1150GS.  Big red wine drinkers so I think an extra meeting at Bruno's is on the cards.

I don't think we will be objecting to their steeds. Bjorn might object or put us riding MZs. Hope I got that right.

Would be great to meet up and an evening at Brunos suggests a touch of excess vino....Red wine tasting would suit me rather nicely. Bob knows some good local reds too.

Anyway an R1150 rider is a potential Konvert.

Depending on where we camp there may be more than one night......

Dave if your friends are in touch I am sure a meet up at Brunos would be a good move. If its a Sunday an early meet up outside Brunos with Bob and Jude and then a wander over to the Sunday market and take the bikes off to Limeuil for Sunday lunch by the river would be a rather excellent day. If they are Kamping then back at camp for an evening BBQ?

Did my first long run yesterday , 240km around Wicklow! I have to say a big thank you to Ringfad!!!!!   For giving me the Kpox!!!! I am hooked!!!!! What a fine machine!! 
Decided to give the Photo Rally a go and did the Old Shop. Lovely ride on t he Wicklow Way. Never seen that part of the country before. Amazing and beautiful!

I did the photo of Fox's pub just south of Dublin yesterday then along the old military road and had lunch at Laragh. Could have met up if I'd known.
Had the shop in the sat nav but decided to leave it for another day. Covered about 280 miles before I arrived home.
I've already done the shop in Donegal. Now that's a run with one or two bends!

I see the old shop isn't a one horse town....

Ok, my suggestion for what its worth.

Was talking to 88KE at the weekend and there was a touch on a suggestion of organising a little outing for Dave [TacKler] on next Friday to acquaint him with the K75 and some nice roads.

Mindful of a nice evening with Bill [Indian036] where Stephen [Sgmayhew] took us up to Sally Gap and more after Newgrange we had an idea to set something up with Stephen maybe meet somewhere on the N11 so Dave would find him and head into Wicklow. No idea of Stephens movements but its a thought.

Comberjohn not making it down Saturday has me thinking.......how about that for Friday and take in Ye Olde Shoppe? Laragh sounds good too.

Sorry CJ, was a last minute decision. Only headed out around 6pm yesterday! Did Fox's pub too but it was too busy around there so i didnt stop! wanted to get to The Old Shop before dark!

Yes, was there about 12 and it was getting busy then. Parked beside a mint Z650 Kawasaki and GS750 Suzuki. No 500 fours, Olaf.
Remember to take breaks now and again, Curley. Easy to get carried away doing long distances and not know when to stop. Only takes lack of concentration for a second on some of the roads to the rally points.
Let me know when you are coming up to do the northern ones and I'll tag along.
Any excuse for a run out.

The showroom has free coffee/tea and has ...a CB500 Four. along with a CB175. Good for a gander sometimes.

View from our tent pitches...The River Vezere at St Leon sur Vezere where we based ourselves. A fabulous municipal camp site. Just under the bridge was a waterside restaurant. River was excellent for swimming in, according to Tackler and Will.

Last night in France......at Lac sul Bretagne south east of Rennes. 88KE and myself settled on the lakeside camp site well before sunset. We were told to camp wherever we liked, again a municipal camp site with WiFi for those who like it. I haven't got as far as Satnavs so WiFi is a long way off.

Hope TacKleur didn't get a rush of blood to the head from being inverted.

Nice set of pics Olaf, a bit light on words...but hey, not everyone suffers with literary diarrhoea (I blame kissing the Blarney Stone for my literary ailment - but why use one word when a few thousand extra will pad it out nicely?). Besides, pics 4 months after the event are much better than no pics at all...and you are clearly having too much fun riding here, there and everywhere, which has to be the top priority.

I really must order one of those right hand drive conversion kits for one of my K's so I can go play on the wrong side of the road some time.

I guess few people from the forum had spent a night there.
Nice small hotel, but what I remembered is that the hardwood floor was really squeaky in the bedrooms. You wake up everybody when you go to have a leak during the night.

Sadly a while back I was told Brunos had closed, Bruno has moved on. I didn't actually stay there so never gor a chance to test the squeaky floors.

But Blondies still provides the best croissants and patisserie.......
