This morning I had intended just to go from home to South Windsor Shops (about 3 km). The weather was perfect for riding, so I decided to go Wilberforce (8km away). That was fine, but the trip home was something else again. From Wllbo to East Kurrajong to Kurrajong to Grose Vale then to Londonderry, back to South Windsor for a pie, then home. A total of 140km.

It seem the road goes on forever Very Happy Very Happy

My K had the same 'illness' too. I love the side effects.

Day before going on holidays I went to a work meeting, 220 mile round trip. Got home at 5pm, lovely summer evening, needed to park up the bike. Perfect timing: car and trailer needed packing up with camping gear as we were planning to leave at noon the next day. Bike needed to be put away for 2 weeks, the next outing being the first Irish Eccentrics meet up at Stradbally.

Taking the bike on the holiday trip hadn't met with 'universal' approval. From where it was parked, to the biKehaus is about 22 metres. It took from 5pm to 11pm to get there and the speedo showed almost 220 miles on it.

Needless to say the atmosphere was heading for a hot holiday.

Next morning did the packing [helps to have everything carefully sorted before putting it away] and left at 12.01!. Proof that a K clears your mind is good for your wellbeing. And the holiday was grand....

So, does anyone ever get tempted to call someone 60 miles away for a coffee just to get a run on the K?

Erm... done that? Except that it was here to Birr, which is a round trip of 300 miles!

I love the 'meet you for coffee' call, the one with the long round trip. I did that a few weeks ago for a Sunday morning breakfast, a run down to west Cork and back by lunchtime. It was wet and my mate on the day was on a lovely 1985 R65.

The breakfast beat me and that rarely happens.

Hey I'm coming through Newcastle in a couple of weeks on the way to Forster
BTW I told my wife when she got home. Her reply was "So, what else did you do?"
