So I've been riding her daily about 80 miles round trip for the last month problem free. Yesterday morning I fire her up and get ready to leave after a 5 min idle and she dies. After a few attempts I switch bikes and leave.
I have the day off so I started trouble shooting. The first problem....the positive battery thermal cable was loose. I tighten it and throw on a charger as she was struggling. After 5 min I try to start and boom all is well. I let her idle for 5 then remove the charger and she instantly starts slowly loosing power until death.
My first thought is alternator. But there's also a clicking that sounds like a turn signal coming from the "relay box" under the tank. It does this when the key is turned in the on position if the bike is off AFTER I press the kill switch at the end of a ride. It's been doing that for months on and off
You guys have any ideas before I start the alternator removal for test process?
