My 4-way flasher switch is stuck solid and needs maintenance badly. I had the dash pad off last winter but couldn't figure out how to get any of the the switches out except the dummy switch (which is easy).  Embarassed

There are the two plastic latches at top and bottom of the switch, but how to activate both while at the same time pushing on the assembly to remove it?  Perhaps a special tool/jig. Any suggestions on that?

Push a small screwdriver in from the back (yellow arrow) to depress each prong (red arrrows) while pushing on the back of the switch.

I prised (pried?) my switch out using a small blade screwdriver, one end at a time.

I was walking around the shed last week pulling the 4-way flasher apart.

Moment of stupidity. It came apart no problem. The spring shot off into to nowhere land and the "other bit" is who-knows-where!

Oh they are not lost, they're in the shed...somewhere.  Shocked

Use a magnet on a piece of wire :-) We've all been there, that's why it is normally recommended to do these things inside a see-through plastic bag ;-) Don't ask how I know....
