So, from the comments posted here I can see that I'm in the minority when it comes to liking the look of these bikes!

When I was in Japan last year, I saw quite a few of these things and I reckon they are mobile art! There is a big subculture over there...shops devoted to getting your scooter to look mean, magazines and clubs.

At night, some are lit up like pinball machines!

You somehow get the feeling they want to blind the other road users!
