Greetings from Cambodia.

Just recently got my hands on a K100 in PHnom Penh - hoping to pick up tips on maintenance and view samples of cafe conversions.

cheers

Welcome, there cannot be many BMW Ks in Cambodia.

Thanks for the welcome.

You are right, hardly any K's in Cambodia before. However, I do think that there is a trend starting as there are now 5  affraid  (compared to none when I first arrived two years ago) that I have seen running around in the past few months. Safe to say that they were all brought in pre-owned in containers.

Also, thanks for the link. Very inspiring indeed!

I think a K100 converts into a cafe very well.

It can only seat two customers to begin with, and where do you put the espresso machine?

Sorry, welcome to the group.

Cool.  I rented a couple of 250s when I vacationed in Cambodia a few years ago. One in PP and another in Sihanoukville. I found riding in PP to be a hoot since there don't seem to be any real traffic laws there - other than survival.

I think having a K in Cambodia will be awesome for you. Very easy to outrun the police looking for $20 bribes on their 125s.

I have maintenance and mods here: http://classickbikes.com/ckb.tech/ckb.tech.toc.htm

Thanks. It sure is an awesome bike. Been on the lookout for it for quite a while - none in Vietnam (when I was stationed there prior to Cambodia) and super rare in Malaysia (where I actually come from).

Welcome from Ireland too. Anyone I know who went to Cambodia loves it there. Enjoy the K. Everyone here is very helpful and on the forum you will find an answer to any problem.

Thanks. Cambodia has a certain charm that I cant seem to put my finger on. Its very different from Thailand or Vietnam.

I am sure there will be loads of questions once I start riding it on a more regular basis.

cheers
