In Ireland we like to be Eco friendly, a green country.

This is BMWs version, very fuel efficient....Its their M sport bicycle.

Grafting K1100 throttle bodies on her at the moment, with all the fun of a steep learning curve as I progress/regress.

This is easy.  My country is earth.
On the + side, any well behaved rider can be member of the forum. You even don't have to own a K bike but at least like them.
About the Ozzies K riders/lovers, I agree that they seem to reproduce faster than kangaroos. You welcome one of them, and he brings his extended family.

I'd be curious to see from where the most active forum members hail. It surely cannot be that a majority are from Down Under, just that the average pub of a typical evening in any town in OZ can sound to the uninitiated ear like a pack of cockatoos at dusk, or a flock of kookaburras at dawn; a joyful, comforting sound to my own ear. Perhaps that's replicated here.

Regardless of where we are from, it is clear we are all a bit crazy. We devote countless hours and $$ to our love of a classic. We restore it, we create frankenbikes, we chop and cut on our way to cafe racers. Perhaps we are all citizens of k-sylvania.

Hey Gunsports, that may have been a little premature in regard to the cricket considering yesterday afternoon's result - seems like the Aussies have remembered how to win. I'll give you the rugby! It was a bit of a tough way to finish for your captain though, he deserved a win in his final test.

No offence, but this thread is funny and it proves that we are all good friends and passion of the K bike doesn't have borders.
I am also riding with people owning other brands and we make fun of each others bikes.
At the end, we just smile and ask "where are we riding next?"

The outcome is always friendship and happy riding.

This thread really shows up the fun side of the forum. I have to say it has certainly brought me in touch with some very interesting and fun people, most of who I will never meet in real life. But it did bring together a few Irish members of diverse interests but who share a solid interest in the Ks and led to some quite fun times.

It is great to share a banter with people far away, even better to know that perhaps in time some of us may not be able to ride a K but can stay here for the fun too.

In Ireland we do try to show everyone the door. The green door as in a welcome so anyone visiting should of course let us know in advance...

......invented by us Brits (if devolution happens, we'll need to work out a new handle "Bits" maybe?) and exported the rest of the civilised world who learnt how to do it properly and promptly take much pleasure in beating us as often as possible. 

Our American cousins didn't understand the rules and knew that they could never complete (and win) so invented their own sports (with lots of padding (and bigger pay checks), bigger sticks to hit the ball/puck with or extra big gloves to help catch the ball etc.). They then invited Canadians round to play with them just so they could call their games "world series".

Mind you, we don't hear any words of thanks from them there Aussies (we probably introduced K bikes to them as well) - quick enough to mank about us giving them useless things like rabbits, foxes, syphilis and whinging poms though.

Thank goodness the Germans just got on with giving the whole world the K bikes and finally gave us all something we could agree on!

Now as for how you pick up your K I can honestly say with great difficulty by RossKo may remember as he was with me when it went Ka sploot in a heap of mud last year.
I do However have some experience in getting my wife's K75 back on 2 wheels and putting the mirror back on.

Yep can see it as a insurance line, Insure your ride with haphazzard insurance dot con and with each new insurance sold haphazzard will supply you with a quick access bike righter, no need for the rider or pillion to get off the bike, Bike righter quick access bike righter will be there in a flash to right the bike for you see pictures of actual quick access bike righters in action.
