Hello all - I need help.
In the process of removing the swing arm on my 1985 K100rs, I popped a hole in the grease retainer. I figured it would be easy to just pop the old one out and go to the dealer for a new one. No such luck. Does anyone know of a fix or swap for this part without buying a used swing arm off eBay?
Thanks in advance for any help.

What's a "grease retainer?"  If you're referring to the rubber boot at the front of the swing arm then it is part 33171454552 and still available for about $20.

Spinedoc,
If you mean the thin plate under the inner bearing, then you could simply cut a circle of tin plate (or even a drinks can) and use that.

I have seen swing arms with and without that shield, so I don't think it would be a problem if that shield had a hole in it.

Paul.

I removed that thin plate on both Ks when the bearing was replaced and have not had any problems by not having it there.
I had water ingress from the outside on one bearing but nothing from the back of it.
I regrease the bearings when I do the splines which is at each tyre change.

Thanks Rick G
I will just yank out the old stuff and pack it real good, I will probably place a piece of tin over the gap to try to retain some grease near the bearing over time.

I think that what Paul suggested would be a good thing.
Apparently a very special tool is needed to get them out intact. I have a slide hammer with an expanding claw but could not get it to work on such a small bearing so out came the butchers block.

Might be crazy, but I did the same thing, popped a hole in that thin plate behind bearing.  I took the seal off a peanut butter jar, it is alu and used grease to hold it in, sealing the hole up?  Call me hillbilly, yep I am.

I used heat to get the race out of the arm on the K100 when I replaced bearings.
Once the race is out you'll see it's just a thin metal cap type thing.
My R1100 has a similar swingarm/bearing setup but doesn't have those caps installed.

Measure the diameter and get yourself a core plug.
Many sizes available, and cheap as chips.
You can pick them up from any auction site (fleabay)
Tap it in gently.
Its only to keep the crap out.

Core plugs would be way to thick, unless you need to space the bearing.
I used the same method as Robin , heat gun for about 3 minutes then gave the  swing arm a good bump on a piece of timber, the race and rear thin tin plate grease retainer just came out. Very easy using the heat gun , no need for special bearing puller tool.
