Nice little stable you have there.
Put up a post or two more and you can post a pic of the K. And the other two if you really want to.

The wharf at Bensville. I was down at Forresters before Kerry moved up here and Bella and I did a wander about the place one day. I used to fish there quite a bit in the evenings when I lived there, (mid 80's). Once caught a 3lb bream right on the change to a southerly there.

If I remember correctly I went fishing at Pretty Beach and also at a place called Wagstaff named after Stuart Wagstaff some TV celebrity in the 60's.....even used to ride a lap around that area on a pushy prior to my licence.....I lived at West Gosford.

Family from that area , wife's grandfather from WoyWoy (Spike Milligan country), my father still lives at East Gosford so I know the area inside out. Sometimes I miss it but the life here is a lot quieter, room to move, good roads to ride with less traffic.

Also lived at East Gosford at the Elanora Hotel...when Malcolm Cussick ran the show....moved to Point Clare but had to leave as there was no work in the mid/late 70's.....got me a government job.

bensville wharf is exactly the same. Ive caught a few nice flatties around there in my old boat,Ive now got a new ,old boat so I can get out there again, great bream fishing in the oyster leases.

Im the club captain of killcare SLSC so I know the area well, wagstaff /hardy's bay /pretty beach are still sleepy hollows but now you need a cheque book with allot of zeros on the end and you need to be part of the inner circle to be excepted.

I m hoping to ge to the karuah rally ,but time is cruel to me with no enough time ion my life to do everything.

Flatties   Fish long and flat also commonly called lizards and not measured by weight but the didtance between the eyes which are on top of its head
SLSC  Surf Life Saving Club
Inner circle   their cheque book does not ballance because of an excess of money
Cheque book  Check book with money as in a well ballanced budget is no cheques and no money

Thanks Rick. The first four entries of the Aussie - Canuck dictionary are complete. Only a few thousand to go. We have lots of purely Canadian words but most of them are about snow, beer and bacon.  Very Happy

welcome Mal ,
It seems that you're not the only one who knows of one of OZ's unique spots, some good ride locations as well.
enjoy your K , and hope you get the chance to catch up with some of the Knuts in your area.

look forward to catching up sometime, maybe Karuah..... not too far away.
