Hi Everyone;
I've been 2 years at restoring an 87 K100RS. Thanks to Bert (Crazy Frog) and all the info on this forum I was encouraged to rebuild this neglected bike. It had sat in the driveway of a good friend for 7 years; yes out in the weather. A true testament to the bike, it was sun fried but nothing was seized. It's been a long slow process to dismantle, clean, replace, and paint (too many hobbies and projects).
Last week I got to drive the bike up and down the lane. I had never driven one before. It was such a thrill and it has got me inspired again to finish the last few details. Too bad it won't be till spring.
Thanks for all the info.
Let the adventure begin.
Cheers
Ralph
