Well howdy, I am happy to have found this forum, tucked into a little corner of the internet like it is
I now have two K100LT bikes on two different continents, my first was (and is) in Portugal where I lived for four years.
She was given to me upon moving abroad if I would "go and get her out of the friend's garage" where she was stored. Two years the P.O. had been moved home to the states and wasn't going to be able to deal with it. The only stipulation was that I return the Hagon rear shock at some point, any point, before I passed it along. So I flew to Glasgow Scotland and retrieved her, with the help of some friends got it registered and drove it all the way back to Lisbon. She served me well for the whole time I lived there, and I hope to go and rescue her from the new "friend's garage" she resides in now.
So that was the start, I've been bitten. I still have my '57 BSA A10 here in the states, but now I want a companion bike, something with lots of power, good for distances and commuting, etc. Was looking toward a K75 for the fuel economy, but the KBike gods thought differently and dropped another K100LT in my lap!
Some work to be done getting everything ship-shape, but for the most part she runs great and has some nice aftermarket bits.
Well, nice ta meetchas and I hope I can offer as much help someday as I'll need to ask for these days!!
