I see that a few others are talking about having a get together to mark the 30th anniversary of the K over this summer.
What about we organise something in the 'ould sod' to mark the occasion too?
Any feedback on dates, place and availability?
Plenty of notice to organise if we start now.
I'll fix the weather as usual.
Anyway, following a few PMs last night we realised we had our first meet up at Stradbally on Saturday 11th August last year and had a really great day. One thing led to another, we both realised that Saturday 10th August is free for both of us with a suggestion that we reconvene at Stradbally......
So, as the saying goes, we are on. I do know the proposed date suits quite a few people but its hard to suit everyone so here goes....
Saturday 10th August, Stradbally Fayre, say 9.30am [?] for breakfast. Route to be decided. 88KE provided an excellent route last year and of course a good lunch venue at Glendalough.
I hope I am not leaving anyone out of the list below. See who we can get and if we can add some more names.....

For anyone who does not know the location Stradbally is located on the Portlaoise [M8] to Carlow road [N80] approx 10km from the M8. Stradbally Fayre is on the left as you arrive in Stradbally, parking outside and a petrol station almost next door. It was about as central as we could find, 140 miles from Comberjohn who had longest run last year. Cork was about 120 miles.
While we are on the subject a possible trip up North for September was mentioned. I really enjoyed last year so plan on going anyway. Should we make plans for another one and take in the Mourne Drive??
Anyone visiting Ireland on holidays? Stradbally is well placed with perfect timing for breakfast, a run and then head to afternoon or evening ferry at Rosslare/Dublin/Belfast.
Anyone like to come over from Wales for a day/weekend trip? Ferry arrives at Rosslare [Fishguard/Pembroke] or Dublin [Holyhead] approx 7am with a nice run to Stradbally and some lovely routes...Ferry leaves approx 9pm to arrive back in Wales approx 12.30 - 1.00am.....
PM me for any travel information...
