A continuation of the route from Newbridge on to Sally Gap and ending at Bennettsbridge would be excellent. Mosses at Bennettsbridge is excellent for tea coffee and some food [?] and of course pottery. Its about 5 km from there to M9 J9 which is easy for anyone travelling back via Dublin [M9 on to M7 on to M50 and M1] or heading to Cork [2 hours]. The parking outside is gravel but its possible to park the bike on it or on the road outside.

I've added a bit to the MAP for those that want to roll on from Newbridge. I suggest cutting cross country through Ballymore Eustace then over the Wicklow Gap to Glendalough then hang a right/north to the Sally gap. This adds a very slow 80 or 90k to the run with fabulous scenery. 

Comberjohn. Allowing for breakfast to be wrapped up around 11.oo and some photo opportunities on the Slieve Blooms we should be in the vacinity of Mounmellick around twelve. There a handy little cafe in the square in Portarlington which would make a good coffee stop circa 12.30. i will keep my mobile on with earpiece so you can call me to fine tune the rendezvous. If we a re moving quickly (not that likely based on past experience) we may meet at Monestarevin. Either way take the M7 from the M50 and you'll be out to Newbridge in about 35mins from the M50/Red Cow junction.

Yes a great day indeed. The wx was perfect for riding.
A nice collection of Beemer's and even a couple of Honda's.
Glad the photo's worked and I have a few video clip's that I shot en-route. Will sort em later.
Plenty of ''snow on top'' indeed and even some of it thinning, not sure what that say's.....more brain's possibly ;-0

We ended at Newbridge with some heading south to Wicklow and on for camping overnight. no doubt we'll hear how that went in due course.

Sorry you missed it Coomber John, but you were with us in spirit if not in txt ;-)>

Nice pics Rod. The dropbox is a good idea. I'm just in but have to leave again in an hour for the west on four wheels:x   - lovely nights camping with Olaf and a good run this morning. Went to Jerpoint Abbey and split after a coffee at the Dunbrody Famine ship in New Ross before turning for Home. Report and pics will follow.

Pity I couldn't do the second day but that's work again... Thanks for all concerned for making the day great and Will again for leading us the right route.

Home late this evening after a great weekend. Camping with Will was excellent and Nore Valley is to be recommended. The early sunshine and blue sky was magical and the welcome second to none. Cockerels, donkeys, Bambi even came out for the morning. Will has the photos!

Comberjohn fixed the weather good. I usually seem to have a shower as I near home but not this time!!

We had some new faces who were very impressed and I expect a Munster chapter will materialise in due course. .

Some talk of a trip North in September. So we must ask Comberjohn for some dates. . . Can't have it without him so over to you John. Camping again for me!! New thread needed!!

Excellent photos of a great trip! The Nore Valley campsite really was the icing on the cake. This could be a good place for an annual camping trip.

I couldn't agree more with Olaf. Great pictures Will, as was the whole trip. Just have to get my seat sorted as it is only compatible with my bottom in the first 6 hours . That time period must be extended....

Update: Pat has sent me the contact details for upholstery so it should come into reality

Watch your words Rod, they get you into trouble.

Bjorn, Will and myself have hatched a little plan for some repeat camping this weekend at the same Nore Valley campsite.

It sort of started with Bjorn suggesting taking his daughter for a bike trip that extended into camping. As of now it looks like Friday and Saturday night so pack your tent up.......might even save some postage.

Saturday could be a nice little run.........trip to Mosse Pottery or Altamont House and Gardens [psst don't tell Stephen, he loves it there too]....

Should point out it was a handheld Flip cam, so there's wind noise but they are fairly stable.
Not sure if I would want to drive my K one handed too much .
