Hi All K Bikers!!

Though I'm new to K100s, I've been riding since I could twist a throttle.  I've owned a few four wheeled BMWs (currently an '88 super eta) and have always wanted to sport around on a beemer.  So... I looked for a while and found a red beauty down in Portland and... bought it.  Just got it up to Vashon Island this last week and started getting to know her.  She is a red '91 K100RS 4 valve and had been sitting in a garage since 2005.  Needless to say, she needs a little attention.  And, this last weekend I started a "refresh".

This is what I did:

Flushed the gas and put in a new fuel filter.  Drained the oil, replaced filter, and filled her up.
Bought a new battery, bled the brakes, rubbed it down with a rag, and... fired her up.

The Avatar is of my daughter and bike before our first real tour around the island.  It was a real blast!!!  The first tour of many!!

So... Happy to be a new member of the forum!!

Oh... yes, the fairing is from a K1100RS.  Not to be confused.

Cheers!!

Hi there Alldigits looks like a fishermans paradise there. Is there a bridge to the island or is it a ferry job.
We have a guy here in Australia we call fingers because he doesn't have many left I do hope the name isn't for that reason.Very Happy

Hei there Rick G.  Yes, we have fish here.  It looks like it will be a record year for pinks returning up the sound.  Still, I threw a rod in this morning and... nuthin.  As for a bridge... No.  We are all opposed to it.  Keeps the riff raff in.  Or... out.  I can never remember.

And... to answer the digits question.  I like to keep em.  So, I have.  And... will.cheers

Thanks Charliee99!!   But, don't worry we'll make it off island for some distance.  First up is the Olypic Peninsula and down the Pacific Coast.  Lots of Indian reservation, banked curves, and enormous waves.  Cheers!!
