Hi guys! Just got this nice 110k km K100RS, and am very happy. Got it very cheap, which just made it even better!
I got fairing, boxes and stuff as well, but I like this look better, and there are some stuff needing to get done before she runs as she should.
Basically, the bike have been standing for a couple of years, after not being able to start at all. That's the initial reason it got sold. Oddly enough, the seller managed to start it before I got it, an it runs fairly good. There is some issues though, as it won't rev over 6800 rpm in first, and 6200 in third. I've been told it may be the fuelfilter, and I guess it's a good place to start. The airfilter looks fine. I know I better mount the intake "thing" and the current situation may not help, but it have to rev higher. And as there's plenty of grunt in the low end, it could be the filter. Hope it's not the air flow meter.
Anyway, it's my first Beemer, after having a GSX 250, XT600, FZR1000 Genesis, Transalp, Falco rebuilt w. Mille R engine, suspension etc. XJ650 and finally my current project, a Rau K from '81. It's having a Z1000A engine, but is just a frame and an engine as for now. Have an Egli swingarm as well. And now there's my BMW, a really nice addition!
Beeing toolmaker with full acces to CNC-machines and all related stuff, I love to make parts to my bikes.
Looking forward to participate in here, it seems like a nice place.
