So my 92 K75 is doing some strangeness!!! Sometimes in 1st gear/ neutral, the RPMs will fly way up like the throttle is wide open even in the "down" position. I look at the fine tuning adjustment screw where the throttle cable meets the engine and its down....if I push down on it during the peak of the throttle gain, it seems to move down just a few mm and in 5 sec or so usual to a normal Idle.

It also will choke out when downshifting with no throttle as I'm slowing to stop every now and then. If I hold the throttle open with the clutch in....I can cheat it from choking out. But, obviously not ideal for long term....thoughts?

I have changed the throttle cable out and it could be the original. Doesn't seem to be sticking and returns to the bottom pretty easily.

pretty weird behaviour

is it a motronic type computer ...or the standard for the older type ...jetronic ?

you may have to delve into the chain /cam drive in the throttle bar-cable  assembly ...and clean it up ...at a guess ....are you sure its not fitted with a throttle stop type screw that holds the movement of the grip somewhat ?

a pic or two would certainly help in the diagnosis and repair

Sounds to me a bit like a very lean situation occuring, see ing as it appears to be on all 3 cylinders have a look around and try spraying some carby cleaner and see if the revs change which means the flamable liquid is getting in through the leak.
All the K75 have L Jetronic and so the Mass Air Flow sensor or Barn door type which are sensetive to leaks.

It's the L Jetronic like Rick said...I removed the cruise control screw underneath the throttle grip when I put the clubman bars on. I will return it just in case. My original post I mistyped say I have changed the throttle cable, but I Havent.

I put a lot of grease to lube up the chain at the end of the cable when switch the bars. Also the choke lever is completely unresponsive when moved through the positions.

I will make a video ASAP so it's easily seen and heard

If you haven't changed the throttle cable, then that's what I'd do before anything else.

Be sparing with the grease here. Give this whole area a good cleaning out first then just a light film of grease

One thing it may pay to double checkis that the bevel gears in the handpiece are matched up correctly, I recall having to redo my K100 after I put it together one tooth out and it didnt return properly.
When you put it like this it sounds a bit crazy to a non BMW person.
Have you checked the timing of the throttle grip gears. I can just see it now the Jap bike guys walking away saying those things are too wierd for words.
