Although adjusting "choke" cable to its best position, it still only moves the throttle bar less than 1\2 a mill. I have studied the Haynes manual down to 4 inches square and hung on a string in the little room. NO success. Nearest BMW dealer 70 miles away. Have all the tools but need to know how. Gordon

I recently scrapped out a K75 & noted that the "choke" cable on the throttle body end utilizes a spacer washer.
Could yours be missing? Part #14 in the illustration:

Part #14 goes under the switch for the "choke" warning lamp.

.It is the movement of the arm that the cable is connected to that is getting lost and as you cant see round the barrel I cant see how the long movement is getting lost. Although I'm getting full movement at the cable and the arm it is attached to, it is as though the other side has dropped back a quarter turn an is still moving but not cming up far enough to operate the throttles------ Any ideas?

Haven't experienced any problems with this mechanism, won't be that much help.
It's a cam plate between cyl. 3 & 4, could be that it have becoming loose on the shaft?

I sent Gordon a PM with detail photos of the part.
Like INGE says.....something could actually be coming apart? like the cam follower (roller?) on the throttle shaft could be worn through???? Or the inner lever loose damaged
Gordon may have to remove the air filter box to get a better look see
Regards......ibj...

There is a small roller on the cam plate and has a screw in the centre. I have seen them come lose and fall of which causes exactly the problem you have. If you are lucky the roller will be in the muck that gathers on top of the engine.
