Hi all , this is Flip2 and thanks for letting me join the party. Currently living in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains and occasionally enjoy the hills on a 1986 K100RS that has benefited from all the shared info I've read on the forums so far. Really, I have no sound mechanical knowledge but am slowly getting a better idea of the basics after working on the bike lately with instruction from the "Clymer " manual and this forum. So yes thanks again for sharing. . .I will be posting some questions soon!

Welcome Flip2.
That's a beautiful area to ride a bike. Last year the wife and I left Gettysburg with the GPS set to "avoid freeways" and made our way to Staunton before heading back home the next day.

Welcome, Flip!
My sister lives in Suffolk and I hope to get a ride back there some summer soon, but the BMW international rally got in my way this year. I can only afford 1 "monster trip" in a given season......so this year I'm going to iron butt it up to Salem from Phoenix with only 1 night en route each way. A formidable undertaking for me at 66 years and on an rs to boot. My wife elected not to make the great journey because she thought it too arduous.
Maybe some year soon, the rally will occur closer to your end of the map & I can wrap those 2 destinations into a single jump.
Nothing to prevent you from coming this way!
Regards, ibj...
