Well, this time last year I went quad biking in France. Suddenly got a strange desire to ride a bike.
I'd never ridden one and took lessons and my test just so I could have the experience!
I had no intentions of buying a bike once i'd passed!
Anyway, I passed and bought a bike...
Nice K100 Cafe Racer appeared locally on eBay.
Had to have it!

59k on the clock which I thought was pretty good. Splines had just been lubed. Lots of custom work.

Hating the indicator cancellation switch. Will take some getting used to!

Everyone has been telling me off for buying such a big bike as my first, but I love it. So smooth and a pleasure to ride!

Hopefully I won't be having any problems that can't be fixed with a haynes manual.

Now i'm going to have a walk through the forum and explore!
Very Happy

Welcome to the forum moomin_man.

I usually don't recommend such a big bike for new riders, but if you feel comfortable and are careful it should not be any problems.

Welcome from across the water. You will love the K, its comfortable, great to ride and lots of oomph should you feel inclined.

Get to know it well, they are all 20-30 years old and as such any likely failings are all well known and easily fixed. Plenty of spares, great technical know how here and great guys to meet up with since thats what K riders do.....

There are people out there who think that when you reach 50 its time for the visit to Saga Holidays for your next outing and leave the Zimmer frame in the corner.......if only they looked around the corner and saw all the K bikes parked outside.....
