Last weekend the sidecar crowd gathered at Slimbridge, just south of Gloucester, for a rally organised by the Heddingham Sidecar Owners Club.

After the previous weekend's camp was cancelled because the site in Yorkshire was waterlogged from an excess of snow and rain, it was an amazingly dry and sunny event, in spite of the cold easterly wind. Of course, clear skys meant a cold night with a good frost, around -3ºC, so it took a while to get some slushy water out of my water carrier in the mornings for a cuppa (tea that is).

This picture shows everyone preparing for Saturday's rideout.

Paul.

A cuppa tea ....
I don't drink that at a rallies on Sunday morning before going to mass.

And we believe you that you just sucked on ice cubs all night long on Saturday night. Smile

Nice to be at a sidecar rally.
It will be soon for us in NA.
The rig is still in my basement as the weather is not enticing for a ride.
This is the worst spring from biker's memory.... They are still expecting snow on Friday.
Believe me it's depressing.

Enjoy your time on the road and thank you for sharing with us.

Hi Paul,

I thought about Slimbridge (on the R1150RT) but Sylvia and I had a wedding invitation on the Saturday so gave it a miss. Would have been good to meet up.

Hi Mike, I'm planning to go to Folkingham 10 - 12 May. If you're free that weekend we could have a forum meet!
Paul.

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately that week end I am scheduled to be at Snetterton (for non UK members its a race track). I help out a friend who runs a couple of Formula Renault and Formula Ford cars.

Mike
