You need to remove one of the glove boxes. Take the lid off on one side, right one if you are right handed, and look for 2 screws back and 2 front and I think, 2 in the sides.
Box lifts out and should give you enough access to get it changed.
If you are left handed, take out the left one.
Can be done without removing anything if you have trained as a gynecologist.Laughing

Once you have fully joined the forum you should be able to access several online manuals including the original BMW one.

Check out the Irish Eccentrics posts under European Rides and meetings.

Welcome Markzz
I always take my windscreen off as well, and the rubber bit behind it, gives me a chance to get one hand over the top and the other under neath. The connections can be a bit hard to pull apart with age.
Good luck mate

Welcome Mark, You'll love the RT once you get used to the weight differential between it and the r80. At 57k it's barely run in. Hope we'll see you at a get toether soon. Or maybe we'll get a spin up North for some of the best biking roads anywhere.

Clarity is important here. Does age refer to age of the K or age of the owner......

Welcome too.....oh, I come from the Maxwell clan.....Scotland too.....but in a more ancient time.

To stop the flashing get into the relay box which is under the rear of the tank and pull the small blue relay out and disconnect the ABS computer which is in the ducktail behind the seat.
From that I assume your ABS is playing up. PM Crazy Frog but don't do anything to upset him as he is stoll snowed in and cant ride for a password to the downloads section then see the reseting the ABS parts.
