Was on the fence for a while and today I thought WTF! why not?
At least go and look at it, see if it "Calls to me"!
Well as soon as the guy open the garage door open and the dim light shined in on her, I HAD to have it!
Poor thing! covered in a coating of dust, under a pile of Sh**, but there she was........
She's a 1987 K100LT, 82,000 miles.
Was last on the road 5 years ago, 4 years ago, he TRIED to start it, jumped the battery, but somehow burned some wires at the battery.
Told me the fuel pump wasn't "kicking on", tank was empty??
Got tired of moving it @ the garage, (I don't think he had been in back of the garage for years. let alone move it @!
So that's where I start on my new "toy"!
Get the poor thing home, get rid of the "Varnish" left in the tank lookie at the pump, get a manual to fix the wires, and go from there!
My first K100, my second Beemer!
