Hi everyone, I just fitted my new rear brake disc from Motobins UK, the brand is Grimeca. I have never heard of them but the price was right.($155.00 landed in Oz).
Small annoyance so far, even though I have not yet been for a ride on it, it is rubbing a lot on the pads. I'm hoping that this is normal until they wear in on the new surface. Tomorrow will tell, I'll go out and see if it doesn't overheat.

Hey RT did you use your old pads, if so they are probably worn to the shape of your old disc. Hence the rubbing.

If you put some sandpaper onto a flat surface, ie a piece of glass or something similar and rub your pads using a circular motion it will flatten them out a bit. I did this as mine had glazed up and it worked a treat.

And I managed to find one good disc locating screw to hold it in place, thatlll deter any light fingered Louies (or rosscoes) from knocking it off.
Thanks for the offer MATE

Hey RT.
How did the Grimeca Brake Disc work out?
I need a compliant rear disc for RWC.
Would you recommend it? The price is certainly right...

I've got a Grimeca frisbee from the boys at the 'Bins on the back of my RS and it works as OEM does. I used a fresh set of EBC's sintered pads out the back too.

Thanks for that. Just got offline after ordering mine. Waiting for them to send postage price. I hate giving the card number over the net, without knowing the total...

Sorry guys I missed this question.
So far I'm impressed with the rear disc, much better than what I had and seems to pull me up nicely from my famous
slow speeds. I'm happy to recommend them.
We use a debit card with a set amount of credit in it so I can only lose what's there. I refuse to give my card number
out to anyone unless I know their business. (Nigerian Banks
are ok).

I'm waiting for my share of the inheritance from a kindly old Nigerian auntie...she's promised me a share of a massive unasked-for largesse and I don't have to marry the village goat.

Last week I used my brother's credit card (from France) to buy an airfare ticket. After entering all the information and pressing the button 'pay now', I got a nice surprise: They asked me for another PIN. I called my brother and he told me that he just received an SMS with the details of the transaction and the PIN to insert if he agreed to pay the bill.
Unless you steal a credit card and the cell phone, you cannot use the card on the Internet. I really like this feature as it took only 30 seconds for the SMS to be delivered to his phone.

You just have to be careful that none of the abrasive gets embedded in the pad.
