I found a cheap Garmin Nuvi on a used articles trading page. The seller said that the cause of the low price has that had no sucker bracket.

Finally, I bought it, update maps and wors fine, mp3 player, phone handsfree, picture viewer, translator, units and currency converter,...

This is one of the best utilities, because displays actual speed and serves as a travel computer.

It was time to build a bracket without cutting wires or plastics, completely reversible.

The GPS had a little back bracket with power input and headfhones.

I had to get a 17 mm diámeter stainless steel ball that fits in the housing and drill a hole to make an M6 thread, prepared two plates, get bolts and nuts...

There are two possible mounting choices. This is the rudimentary one:

I like this thread; Question: Does your GPS interfere at all with the ignition key?

Am planning on doing GPS on my bike as well. Considerin a model with bluetooth so it can communicate with bluetooth headsets.

Quick story; Last year was riding in upstate Vermont and got lost. So, pulled over and wipped out the iPhone with Google Maps. Unfortunately, no help as I was outside service area. Had to backtrack some 20mi. Crying or Very sad

There is no problem with ignition key:

Besides, in case of interference, there wouldn't be problem neither, because is easy to remove GPS only by clicking and pulling:

It's easy to find cheap used Garmins on internet. Here you are a link to a spanish trading page:

Not just one design but a choice.

Are you a toolmaker or design expert?

Very well done and put together with pictures. 10/10. I can see you will be an asset to Bert's forum

Well it wouldn't be a forum without ALL the people but the kudos for setting up this amazing site goes to Bert a.k.a Crazy Frog for setting up the forum from his own resto efforts. And yes puntolimitecero, you are definitely an asset!

I am currently busy with others projects and don't have too much time to dedicate to the forum. The forum is very active without my participation.

Bert Started this forum and because of the way he runs it and all of you who are really special people I believe it has become the premier K100/75/1100 forum on the world wide web. I joined pretty early on and am Bert's co ADMIN and I cover for him whilst he is away or tied up with work or projects. We have a brilliant team of Mods who do a great job and a reliable list server too.

Few people know just how much Bert does and the hours he puts in in-between a very demanding IT job, being a super home handyman/builder, a keen K rider and running this list. I think he has a special day just for him with 48 hours in it because if he only had 24 I don't think he could get it all done Smile

I would be astonished if there is another group of such knowledgeable people out there, I am pretty sure there is no K fact no matter how obscure that one of the team on this list doesn't know. As Bert AKA Crazy Frog has set this up we are a merry band of people who cooperate and help each other for no material gain, how good is that.

Good on you all!
Regards,
K-BIKE
