Short note to introduce myself. I live in Mandurah Western Australia and am 55. I have had various bikes and in the stable at present is a 2006 Bonneville, 78 SR500 cafe racer and just recently purchased a K100 rs 83 model. I have wanted a beemer for years as it was a 650 boxer owned by my cousin that first got me into Motorbikes. Have only had the BMW for a few weeks and have not really got off it yet. Now I know why so many people ride them, they just eat the miles up and handle better than what I expected. For an 83 model it is in excellent condition as the previous owner was a fanatic.

Welcome to the Forum.

Hard to beat for technical information and know how.

Also a good sociable side to it too, unlike most. Hard to beat the K for eating the miles. I had 4 hours on mine yesterday, despite being depths of winter here it was a dry day so I headed out at 5pm just as it got dark. Reminds one of what a K is really like.
