I recently bought a pair of late '86 footrest plates, complete with footrests, to tidy up, modify the footrest fittings so they don't seize and put on the outfit. However, I noticed there was an unused hole on the lower edge of the right hand plate. A check on my earlier plates showed that the boss was there, but the hole was not machined, so it must have been put there for some reason.
I was going to ask the question here, but first I looked through all my K literature........and then I spotted it, a K75C. Yes, I know all you 75C owners are jumping up and down, saying "I know what it's for", but we 100 owners don't see further than a disc brake at the rear.
Of course, it's the pivot for the drum brake lever and the 75C owners have an empty hole at the front of the plate where the disc brake lever would pivot.
Now that I know I don't need the hole, I'll machine a plug to fill it.... Leaving it empty looks as though something has fallen off!
