I've seen on a few posts a throttle lock screw with a flip lock on it. "Flip-A-Lever"
Does anyone know if you can still get these anywhere???

For the 4 valve bikes it is possible to fit an actual cruise control that will maintain a set speed. Drake Smith wrote an excellent piece on fitting one.

Hi Steve, thanks for your reply.
That lock looks like a "Vista"?
What I'm interested in is a screw that had a spring lever action on it that screwed into the front underside of the throttle housing.
I've seen screws with a spring to keep it in place, but this unit also used a cantilever to actuate a pin inside the screw, making actuating the unit easy, without having to screw it in and out whilst on the move. I'm not 100% sure,
but I think it was called a Sneider Flip a lever.>???

I personally tried this type of device and didn't like it on the K bike.
I found it a bit dangerous.
The reason is that when riding at 100-110 km/h, and position of this throttle locker to be comfortable, it interfers with my hand if I want to rapidely release the throttle.
A rider of the BMW club of Quebec is making a nice unit ("Flip-A-Lever") but I cannot find his site. I should meet him next week end and wil get some informations.

What about the nylon tipped, spring loaded, knurled screw that screws into the bottom of the throttle control? I have a touch of arthritis in my thumbs and find it handy. I find it great for longer runs, especially on motorways. You can set it to hold the throttle open at a specific point or just take some of the strain for a neutral throttle. Cost about £5 and I believe they fit all 8v's. Check for a blanking screw underneath the control.
