Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and have already found much useful information. I ride a '91 K100LT that I purchased around 2000 and am the third owner with ~35k miles.

I have not had time to ride for the past five years and am now going over the bike to get it back into shape. I've identified a few fixes/maintenance items that need to be done right away such as replacing the rear master cylinder and brake lines, tires, spline lube, and possibly a clutch lube to start.

The last 7 digits of the VIN are 01815??. The second to last digit ? appears to be a 2, and the last digit ? is unknown since the label has been damaged, but I believe that it is an 8. This would mean that the last 7 digits of the VIN are 0181528 so that the bike is a K100 LT 87 (0506 ( 0516) ).

I've been looking thru various posts on the site and have a few questions:
- I've found a few web sites for parts such as bemerboneyard and Kbikeparts but would appreciate any additional recommendations, especially for replacement braided steel brake lines.
- I've been reading about bleeding the brakes with the ABS I system. Any recommendations here would be useful.
- I found "Anton's method" for removing the FD for a spline lube and will follow it unless there are any issues particular to my bike that I am not aware of?

Thanks to all of the members for your input to this forum. It certainly is a tremendous resource.
