Hi there
I am using stainless clamps to fix the shield against the original (and broken) supports plus a couple of additional spacers.
Best regards
JAP

I had to do some of the mounting points (as they will come!) and decided to go the BMW repair rout. Basically its a set of well nuts (like these) with spacer rings. I went my own way, as I initially couldn't get the official parts (meantime have them;-)).
Ordered some well nuts, but had a great old time fitting them (not!). The nut works by pulling a threaded part at the bottom of the bush against the top (like a pop-rivet), thereby expanding the nut and filling/fastening the part in the hole. This was very difficult, as there is little purchase for a pair of pliers on the nut part that's still outside the hole, which is like a steel ring. Better equiped workshops have a big tool that allows them to place those rivet like contraptions, but 'el cheapo' here of course not. Eventually found the perfect tool: This. It allows you to work in small spaces with lots of control over the nut. Worked for me.
