After 3 years, I finally was able to get a zoom and pan function working on the electrical diagrams. See the change on this page

Just click on the magnifying icon then click on the diagram to move it around.

Just testing a new version which will use the full screen.

I printed my schematic on a "B" size sheet in colour. Took the electronic file to a local UPS / Kinko's shop which used their colour plotter to create the page. I like it because I can trace circuits easier than panning on the screen. Also, I can add margin notes about connectors and relays and other markings (such as my own circuits that I've added).

I do have it printed on A0 (I had access to a plotter) and it's laminated. This way, I can even write with non permanent markers and clean it when I finished.

I am still working on the web version as I never liked the way that the zoom was working. I just like the challenge

The problem is that Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari don't treat the scripts the same way. I have to find something universal. That's the challenge.

The upgrade is done and working fine for me. Please give me some feed back on This page.
It was only tested with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer v9 but other Internet browsers may have some problems.

Looks great to me on Firefox all we need is the same thing for the 4 Valve :-) The Diagram is so much better than the original BMW diagrams which are quite frankly rubbish! These from CF make it so easy to trace a wire from one component to the next.

I may surprise you as it may be my winter project.
I am just waiting for a new pair of glasses to be able to read the original BMW schematic.

Works well in Internet Explorer 10 as well (running on Windows 8 Release Preview) .... Although if you resize the window you have to refresh the page!

M. Bert...works beaut on my FireFox. Can actually see things!! WELL DONE!!

I finally found the way to display the diagrams using the maximum space available on the browser. (This is an improvement for old guys with glasses. me included.)
Now the window displaying the diagram will open to a size equivalent to 90 or 100% of the space available without having to use the scroll bars and the 2 icons zoom in and zoom out are always visible on the screen.

I just noticed that you can see some of my favourites on the pictures, and I would recommend Ninite.com/
This site let you install or update many software or addons like flash,adobe.
It's worth giving it a try

That last update doesn't work in IE 10 there is no zoom in or out function now!

and as can be seen the diagram only appears in the top right hand side of the window!

I think I found the new "feature" (bug) on IE10 and adjusted the page accordingly.
The page now works on my windows 8 tablet, but the scroll function is not enabled. This is not a big problem as the pinch/expand fingers function does.

If there's anything left on my (little!) wish list it would be having the pin numbers with the contacts of the speedo box.

It's a great help and also easy to talk someone else through when you're trying to assist in some fault finding!!
