Hi, everyone. I got back into the BMW habit with the "distress purchase" of an ex-police K75RT about a year ago. I have now bought a K100RS 16v. Technical information for this model seems to be a bit sparse and I can't find a manual that covers the model, so I have no doubt that I will be browsing the tech forum and occasionally asking questions.

Regards,

Ian

Greetings Mr Grumpy welcome to the forum.
There is an OEM manual available here but you need a few more posts (5 I seem to recall) before our esteemed leader Bert aka Crazy Frog will give you a password to get into the download section.
The K1100 manual will also give you most of the info needed.

Hello and welcome. Not been here long myself, but these guys are very welcoming and helpful. What ever you need, they will know how to go about getting it
(unlike Jimi Hendrix who found himself being manically depressed about it Very Happy )

Yes Sidecar Paul wins. Excuse my incorrect English, should ave been E.I.D (er in doors). I shall watch a hundred repeat episodes of Only Fools and Horses as a penance. No more acrimonies.
And so you see Mr. Grumpy how the world works. You thought this was about you. I apologise (with an s).

Wow, what a response! Firstly, thank you to Nino; as soon as I figure out PM's I will accept your kind offer, and thanks to everyone else. I doubt that I will ever rival Mr Happy, but I do occasionally manage moments of self-satisfied smugness.

Thanks again for the welcome everyone; I shall soon be asking questions about a non-functioning temperature gauge if the obvious doesn't produce a solution. My profile changed today as the RT has gone to a new home. What's a carb?
