I have found this statment somewher:

...."

ALSO:
"
Applications

  • BMW Motorcycle K100 Series
  • K100RS-2V 83-89
  • K100RT-2V 83-89
  • K100LT 86-91
  • K100 2Valve 83-89
Specifications

  • Type: Bosch Type 1
  • Impedance: High Impedance 14.5 OHM
  • Bosch Number: 280-150-710

Has anyone any experience with this?
I have not checked original OEM but assume "ford" parts must be much cheaper?

Hi Roy,
One of the on line BMW dealers is quoting US $127.92 I would guess that is around what Bosch would charge and I have heard positive comments about the Ford replacements.

heres some thing interesting for ya bought a set of 6 EL falcon injectors exchange for 250 ozzie bucks from repco, but if u wanna ger more fuel into a falcon u use tr/ts mitsubishi magna injectors (blue tops), can go upto 500hp in a falcon i6, the falcon injectors flow 60 mls on the tester dont know about the k100 yet am gonna clean them soon, but s/chargered v6 vt commodore injectors flow 110mls, and am yet to get hold of some blue top magna injectors to test, but all these injectors are interchangeable but have different flow rates. i dont know if the k100 ecu are the same but in all these models as long as u have a higher flow rate the ecu just cuts the duty cycle back to 14.7:1. fuel ratio

Alex, the LE-Jetronic system on the early K-series is pretty basic and does not have the luxury of an O2 (lambda?) sensor in the exhaust so would not be capable of adjusting the fuel ratio but it seems you have access to some really interesting information/ equipment so it will be good to see how the K100 injectors compare.

Phil

i cleanen and flowed the injectors today and they flowed 30ml, they dont have a nice spray on them either, same as the ford falcon, ford eb falcons have the same spay and size and elec - conector but flow 50 ml, i am thinking of putting these in my bake and give it a go, it not to much more fuel.

The Ford ones would seem to provide a substantial increase but I remember reading a report on a dyno test of a K100 where the suggestion was to press the start button while the engine was running as it would richen the mixture and possibly provide an increase in HP so in theory the other injectors would do the same but whether it is too much remains to be seen.

Trying to get a bit more air in to balance it would not be easy as it is a fairly convoluted path and the dyno test proved the stock air filter was better than a "hi-flo".

Of course there is always the turbo option Very Happy

i have used the after market injecters for a season
and i wanted to nknow
but found no unusual deposits on the srk plgs
the power ,idle start and feel of the bike changed

my original engine had wellover 200,000 miles on it
and after messen with it for a seasofelt i would be better off with another used eng
so i did
beemer bone yard
i didnt like the way the new one ran
and after observing the spray pattern of the injector
decided to chance the tip in ibmwr tec

they call them beemers because of the grin that must be on my face as i go by

Hi, the best equivalence I could find were the Standard FJ27 injector, and was taken from http://www.ibmwr.org/otech/partsubs.shtml#BMWinjectors.
Flow rated at 36.25 psi is 13lbs/hr vs 12.65 for the original. Been using them for the las 24000km with no issues.
Found them at rockauto.com at 24$each.
Best regards
JAP
