Just wanted to poke in and say hello, I have just purchased my first BMW k100rs (1991) and i am looking to get it back on the road. the previous owner actually hit a deer while riding this bike and layed it down on the left side. He is okay but the bike took some damage, any tips trick or ideas are always welcome.

thanks Smile

Thanks, I will post some pics as soon as i get home for a damage list-
front fairing - damage is non repairable
left foot peg(driver) ripped off
exhaust pipe- few scratches but nothing too bad
steering stabilizer - bent from impact with deer
valve cover - got a big hole in it( no damage internaly)

This bike has had 3 owners 2 of them were father and son , it has 13k miles on it so i am hoping that the motor will be ok after replacing valve cover. we will see!!

Hi jrs welcome to the forum. I think I heard about that RS on the motobrick forum a few months ago and if memory serves me the deer was delicious.
