Hey guys , so since I had this bike about 3 months now the gas cap lock has been very hard to open , the other day I guess I tried to hard and now the cylinder just rotates all the way around the key comes out but it will never open again like this , so what are my options ?? how do I open this thing? drilling the lock will be my last option ,dont want all those metal bits inside my tank any one has any experience with this ?? and after that I will need a new/used lock with a key ... thanks for the advise.

Cris, just type in petrol lock or gas lock into the search part at the top right of the opening page. There have been a number of different things happen and some suggestions. This may help to begin with.

If the information isn't enough, get a hammer and hit your thumb with it. This will take your mind off the tank. It works for me whenever I can't get something to work.

Cris I have had a look at a cap without a lock that I have here and if you put some tape around the edges of the cap so nothing can get down there, there is no way that drill shavings can get through the cap from the lock and into the tank. I would have no hesitation in drilling one out if the need arose.
