Hi there,
I’ve recently acquired a 1984 K100RT so I figured I’d introduce myself as I guess I’ll be on here a bit.
This all started when my Father Inlaw decided to get himself a new bike. He hadn’t ridden since he owned a 250cc Suzuki in the 70’s. He purchased this K100 and it was in very good nick, apparently one owner. After riding it about 5 times and dropping it twice at walking pace, he kinda lost interest.
It sat there for about 6 months when I borrowed it so I could use it while I did some work on my other bike. I had it for about 18 months when I though it would just be easier to buy it off him as my spare\summer bike, so now it's mine
The first pic is when I brought it. My plan is to strip it down as a naked bike. There’s a couple pics here. I’m still waiting for the right headlight so in the mean time I’m using the original item. I had a bit of fun making the seat, I’ve included a couple of designs I tried. When I’m happy with shape I’ll cover it properly.
I’ve also got a bit excited ordering a bunch of service parts from Motobins.
Anyway, that’s enough for now.
Bringing it home
Starting the strip
Headlight fitted
1st attempt at the seat, I didn't like this.
2nd attempt, I like this better, but jury is still out.
