Pleased to join what appears to be a good forum for things K.
Pat and I have a 1989 K1 with a sidecar alongside. As if this wasn't odd enough for some, it has a few other modifications to satisfy our needs, which might interest, or maybe even raise a few eyebrows. However, that's the essence of the sidecar game.
Our K is now fitted out with a KRT fairing (old body had difficulty dealing with the inclined riding position), seat, and handlebars. Other "insanity" includes different wheels and tyres, almost an essential with outfits; leading link forks; linked brakes (rear, sidecar and one front disc), and an R1200C Custom swing arm and bevel. All very odd, but does what we want. Perhaps the real heresy is ditching the BMW three switch indicator with a more conventional one switch set up courtesy of Suzuki. With LED lights all around save for the headlight, quite content.
The whole rig performs acceptably, although as ever with the three wheel disease, more amendments are likely.
