Good morning people. New to this forum but not Beemers. Been on Boxer's since 1981.
Just returned from a trip down to Florida to pick up 2 K100RT's. One has 900 miles and body damage and the other has 80k miles on it. Same owner. Bikes have been sitting for 10 plus years.
Anyway, I get the fuel pump noise, on the 80K bike. I have pressure on the rail, but no squirt. Fuel injection relay energizes when starter button is pushed. The motor cranks over and has spark. No volts at fuel injector connector.
Is the "fuel injection control unit" part of the CPU under the tool storage? That connector has been checked, all fuses are good, with output verified on either side of the fuse.
I've been told that " key on" should energize the pump. True, or false? Mine "does not"
Also, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the BMW optional radio application?
Haynes, or Clymer, which is better?
When i figure out how to send pics, I'll post a photo of the trunk/bags on this bike. Never seen one like it before.
Thanks gang, I'll be back.
