Hi folks,
Greetings from Tasmania.
I’m back under a new name as I lost my old login details.
I have a 1984 K100 RS rejuvenated and regularly used under Special Interest rego.

Also have a 1995 K1100 LT that is undergoing a major rejuvenation at present, and will hopefully be on the road early next year, again under Special Interest rego.

My other steed is a 2011 Victory Hammer.

Hi,
I’m a novice mechanic but I have a K100RS (89) that will not start (tick-over).
I have checked the following.
- [x] New battery fitted
- [x] Fuel - new fuel pump fitted
- [x] Starter Motor- Working, the engine turns over when I press the starter button
- [x] Injectors - Tested and when started each of the 4 injectors squirt out a single jets of fuel
- [x] Spark plugs - Tested and all 4 have a clean blue spark when the bike turns over.

When the bike turns over (choke open) the bike splutters and I can hear pops but it doesn’t start.
If I remove the spark plugs the tips look good but wet.
Can anyone give me some advice on what I need to check or do to get the bike working?
Thank you in advance
Graham

It would be more helpful if you could start your own introductory thread please.

agf003, you have simply piggybacked onto another member's intro. Please go to Member's Introduction (highlighted in red) on the Forum's main page, and start your own intro there. Once that's done, go to the Troubleshooting page and under the appropriate section, start a new thread with the questions you have about your K bike. I'm certain you'll get some answers from our members. Thanks heaps.

For now I am going to lock this thread so's we don't ramble on on David Menzies' intro.
