Just removed the side car body and gone to refit the center and side stand and I found a hanging linkage, it's connected the clutch as it moves slightly when I operate the clutch lever.

I'm missing the springs and not sure about this hanging underneath.

How does it re attach or should I delete it?

It's part of a safety feature. When properly adjusted, it retracts the side stand when the clutch hand lever is pulled. Free will allows you to delete it. I have mine adjusted but I usually kick up the stand without using it.

Searching through a few posts it seems a k1200rs center and sidestand fill fit on the original k100 center mount, could you 100 percent confirm this and I'll go ahead and buy one.

In the end I nabbed a cheap early style K100 assembly off ebay, so I've no idea what the extent of the fixerupper would have been. To summarise TWB's post; 

- the K1200 mounting plate will NOT fit the K100 gearbox
- you can fit the K1200 stand to the K100 mounting plate
- BUT the K1200 stand is 20mm or so shorter than the K100 stand.

So... really you need another K100 or K1100 stand.

I have put complete K1100 stand assemblies on my K100RS RT and Sprint.

As far as I am aware but not certain the K1200 transmission uses the same stand mounts.

EDIT: Dai has confirmed they do not.!
