Hello Gang,
I'm a new rider and I've always admired the K75. A friend had a 1990 available and I jumped on it. I've ridden it for about 100 miles already and been getting more comfortable with it.

It's perhaps ambitious to make this my first real motorcycle,  but I suppose I don't do anything halfway,  so ...

Love the bike so far!

Good luck with your new K bike . I know you'll like it more and more as you ride it. That's usually the way it works.

Your first 'real' motorbike!? If you haven't taken one already, there are very good rider training organisations available in all states, offering beginning rider training. As an experienced rider, I try to refresh my skills with a course, and get reminded of my long-ingrained bad habits, about every five years. A new rider can't have had time to develop any, but could develop some quickly if no-one's pointed them out.

WelKome to the forum. Of course, as any long-time Beemer rider knows innately, "the K75 was the best motorcycle BMW ever built."

It's Deja Vu all over again.

Some folks ignore the Member's Intro requirement and don't even make a first. You've made two!

I have already signed up for the MSF course.  I plan doing more than that though.  I'm already taking over school parking lots to tun drills.  Bought a set of low profile cones to set up weaves and turn boxes, etc.  Confidence at low speed is coming.  I used to be a High Performance Driving Instructor for the BMW CCA and I value driving education.
