Hello all,
I´m a recent pride owner of a BMW bike from 87 and I came here some times to see all the help you all give us solving the problems that this type of bikes with so many years can have.
To tell you shortly, i bought this bike last october for 3000€. Yes, i know it is to much but you guys would be crazy with the stupid prices that you will found in Portugal. it is an absurd because i could buy a similar bike for half the price in Spain, Italy or Germany. But things are what they are in the "ass" of Europe.
So the bike needed some cares. it was made a full revision and the clutch was changed for a new one (+1000€) and a new painting (700€). So i have spent more that 5K with this bike to put her in good original shape. I had the luck to find a new spoiler never used on ebay (110€) and i had to change the quadrant that was with a lot of issues (humidity, stop working the km´s etc) and this was 90€. I also bought the side cases after on ebay for around 60€ and they were painted after.
So i have made already some miles on the bike and i love the way its working. The only thing that bothers me is that Portugal is very hot in the summer and oh my God, how hot this engine could be
I believe that are not many bikes still original in Portugal. Since last October i only saw one and that is a thing that i like because we ride something exclusive
Sorry my english guys
Cheers
Miguel
