These are parts to suit RAM shocks for the K bikes.
The spring is a 300lb spring suitable for predominantly two-up riding such as touring, or solo but with lots of gear. I used to springs, depending on the riding I was doing at the time.
The alloy eyelet is a +35mm shock extension that just screws onto the shcok when you unscrew the existing one. You might want to d this to raise the rear ride height, or to swap a K100 or K75 shock onto a K1100

I am building a 1990 K100LT and I know that I might have to upgrade the springs. 
I am not sure what shocks I have but they are original ones. 
You mention maybe changing to a K100 does this mean I have them shocks on my bike ? 
I know when the time comes we will find out but my mate and main builder has been going to oz for his work I’m just thinking would these upgraded springs be good for us to use given the extra weight on a trike on the back end.  
If we are fore armed with knowledge then we will know what the options are that we may have to rely on.

K100 16V and K1100 will use the same shock.

I have a RAM on my K1100 and was unimpressed with the quality of the finish [it looked very tatty] although a great shock. However it spat out the dummy a little while back so needs a complete rebuild I guess but having been quyoted over €450 I just bought a YSS one brand new for a lot less. It won't last either, the ne for the 2V K100 is brilliant but not so for the 16V. Seemingly about 25-30,000 miles but my 2V one has ver 60,000 miles on it.

Yeah. The paint on the spring didn't last as long as I thought it should, but I'm shocked (ouch!) at the price you were quoted for an overhaul. I think I paid £150 about two years ago for one of mine.
