10 years ago, to make fun of wanabees custom makers who wanted to create replicas of the Cooler king motorcycle in The great escape movie, some certifying that this old R65 monolever was the original motorcycle of the shooting, I created a concours, a quest consisting in finding one photo of Steve McQueen, the famous rider & actor, riding a BMW with a flat-twin engine.
Nobody could ever produce an evidence of McQueen riding a BMW flat-twin. I suppose he never did.
So when AI popped up, I ask it to solve the enigma and request the Bing image generator to create an image of Steve McQueen on a BMW motorcycle, varying the language (french or english) and the degree of precision (jumping a wired fence, with a BMW R60, etc.
The results made me doubtful about AI abilities to create false reality, but very confident about its power of creating smiles.
No hand. (because no bars!) :
One hand, half bar (check the wheel wires tension, mate):
No hands, with a bar! Looks like a former MX champion, but Serge Bacou, not Steve McQueen.
He half passed the fence, thats great!:
Nice try from Mickey Rourke, sadly end impaled on a pole:
I didn't know that Hugh Grant was skilled in trial! What a sens of balance, despite its recent stroke!
I love this helmet. Take my money:
Nice landing for a handsome guys, his long arms will compensate the lack of travel of the front suspension.
Supermaaaaaaan!
At least, something slightly looks to the target. Mostly about the haircut.
No, the request was about Mc Queen, not Mc Gyver.
Don't twist the throttle too much!
Hey, George W ! But I asked for Steve McQueen!
Steve McQUEEEEN bordel!
Not Steve Buscemi!
Wolverine on a chinese 125 CC. WTF?
Eventually, the ultimate request offered me this, that convinced me AI was absolutely not useful but necessary.
