Footrest confusion Img_2018
Hi All. On my 1994 K1100LT I seem to have two different sizes of rear footrests, the castings, brackets and rubbers are all different. The one on the left has the same size rubber as the front pegs. I can probably buy a used one from the usual places but which one is correct. If I buy a new one I don't know which is left or right if I don't know which is original. It might save me from buying a pair if any of you can help with the identity.

I'd take the pragmatic approach. Get a mate for the one on the left because it's likely to be a lot more comfortable for any pillion passenger.

That's wise advice Dai. After a lot more investigation I believe that the longer item is the rogue. Every K1100 "used on ebay" rear peg is the shorter type which can be identified as having 13 ribs in the rubber. The longer item seems most likely to be from a K100 which has 14 ribs on the rubber. Oddly, the front rests have 14 ribs.

K75s and 2V K100s use the same rubber front and rear.

K100RS4V, K1 & K1100 rears have shorter pegs and rubber than the fronts.
