I have a spare tank from a K1100 parts bike I purchased and have no idea what they are, what they're from or how the best way to make them go away. Has anyone seen this before and could enlighten me?

See Picture - bumbs on both sides of tank in the same general area, but there are on or two in other random areas alsoTank Caught the Mumps? Img_8510

Stick a pin in one of them - looks like paint contamination to me.

They look like paint contamination to me too, but its possible the tank was stored invertted with water in it and corrosion has resulted. I have two tanks that have done that on the underside and they also looked like that.

You were right - some type of air bubble under the paint. Opened one up and pressed it flat - doesn't look any better, but at least I understand the problem.

As always, much appreciated!
