I thought I would post this. Some of you might remember our RS owner in Colorado.
She has been a long time owner of a very nice K100RS and has been a good friend to some of us, regularly chatting outside the forum where we discussed many topics outside K bikes.
My last chat with her before the summer had been about making a visit to Europe this year. We had previously tried for K Fest but then Covid came.
More recently in trying to track her down I had been chasing around the internet and our Facebook Groups. Sadly I was informed during the week that she had passed some months back. John Klompenhauer aka Klompy the Grey Brick had alerted me to this too.
I don't have any more details but I do know the loss of her son a few years ago hit her hard and she spent the earlier part of this year looking after some friends who were ill.
Ariel had many interests outside our K bikes. I shared many enjoyable FB and phone discussions about rose growing, classical music, books, baking (!!) and more. Her sense of adventure had her discussing sailing her boat across the Atlantic to Ireland. Like all our K owners here, she had a huge mind outside the bikes that make our paths cross.
What made me think so much of this today was that last night I enjoyed a long chat with one well known member- Crazy Frog!
This K Forum really is wonderful.
RIP Ariel
