Hi,
In my youth I stumbled into the academic world knowing keeping my bike going could be a challenge.
Back in early 80's Beemers was double the price compared to Japanese bikes.
However, there were a grey marked of mixed frames, retired police bikes etc.
Parts would often fit..with a slight modification and with a standard toolkit a novice young man could make the bike going.
Of course, just for a couple of years, but I've been kind of stuck since then and eventually accepts the faith.
Bring it own, there is always some more to learn, experience and to laugh about.
