Hi All,
I've recently bought a rather untidy and unloved K1100 that been off the road since 2017. On the good side its done only 24k miles and, on the bad, it's been part customised. That is to say that the previous owner has removed (and binned) all of the fairing, seat, mudguards etc in order to join the ranks of the Brat bike owners. I've always admired these bikes and consider the engine, box and shaft to be an amazing "work of art" so will be happy to have it all on show once correctly detailed. I intend to carry on with the Brat mods and hoping to be looking to the skills and knowledge of you guys to get the info I will most definately need. So, I'm really glad you're all out there and looking forward to a few discussions.
I live in the South of England and have owned and rebuilt many bikes such as; Yamaha TDR250, Suzuki GT380, Yamaha XVS650, Kawasaki ZZR1100 and CCM644. There have been others but this is the list of the more notable bikes. I had to replace the gearbox in the Yamaha XVS650 (called the Dragster in the UK) because the 5th gear dogs failed so I am no stranger to the toolbox.
